Psychiatric Evaluations

Comprehensive mental health assessments for adults seeking support with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood concerns, and co-occurring substance use issues. Evaluations are performed by licensed psychiatric providers. Medicaid accepted.

What Is a Psychiatric Evaluation?

A psychiatric evaluation is a structured assessment used to understand a client’s mental health symptoms, history, and needs. During this appointment, a psychiatric provider reviews emotional functioning, medical background, past treatment, current challenges, and potential diagnoses. The goal is to determine the most effective treatment plan, which may include counseling, medication, or referrals to additional services.

What Our Psychiatric Evaluations Include

• Detailed review of mental health and medical history
• Assessment of mood, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral concerns
• Screening for co-occurring substance use and withdrawal risks
• Identification of diagnoses when appropriate
• Recommendations for therapy, medication, or additional support
• Treatment planning tailored to the client’s goals and symptoms
• Coordination with therapists, case managers, and outside providers
• Documentation for court, legal, employment, or disability needs (when applicable)

Who Psychiatric Evaluations Are Best For

Evaluations are recommended for clients who:
• Experience symptoms of anxiety, depression, or mood instability
• Have recently gone through trauma or major life stress
• Feel overwhelmed, unmotivated, or emotionally stuck
• Have concerns about ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, or similar issues
• Need clarification on a mental health diagnosis
• Were referred by a primary doctor, therapist, attorney, or probation officer
• Want to understand whether medication could support their treatment

How Psychiatric Evaluations Help
